What’s the Buzz? - Wednesday, June 11, 10:30-11:15am (Room A/B) - Buzz by for bee stories, crafts and fun. Registration begins 5/28. Ages 3-5.
Mother Goose Café - Fridays, June 13, 20, July 11, 18, 25, Aug 1, 10:30-Noon (Room A/B) - Share books, songs, and movement fun. Group play and refreshments conclude the program. Adult participation required. All ages welcome.
Fun and Fit - Mondays, June 23 - July 21, 10:30-11am (Room A/B) - Get up and move to the beat! Great exercise and group fun. Adult participation required. All ages welcome.
Magic of Jim Carmody - Tuesday, June 17, 4-5pm (Room A/B) - Summer Reading Program kick-off. Magic and high jinks for the entire family! Free ticket required for entrance.*
I Saw an Ant - Wednesday, June 18, 10:30-11:30am (Room A/B) - Join us for amazing “Ant”ics. Stories, games, and critter fun. Registration begins 6/4. Ages 6-7.
Insects Do the Strangest Things - Thursday, June 19, 2-3pm (Room A/B) - Join the Kalamazoo Nature Center in investigating the strange world of bugs. Free ticket required for entrance.* Ages 5 & up.
Kevin Kammerand presents “Catch the Reading Bug” - Tuesday June 24, 10:30-11:15am (Room A/B) - Interactive family songs, puppetry and poems. Free ticket required for entrance.* All ages welcome.
Garden Safari - Wednesday, June 25, 11-11:45am (Room A/B) - Search our Garden for creepy crawlies. Join us for buggy activities, stories, and crafts. Registration begins 6/11. Ages 4-6. Program cancelled for inclement weather.
Stack It Up! - Wednesday, June 25, 5:30-6:30pm (Room A/B) - Fast paced, challenging “cup stacking.” Take some mini time trials to test your skill. Registration begins 6/11. Ages 8-12.
Meet the Arachnid - Wednesday July 9, 11-Noon (Room A/B) - Come and learn about one special spider, the tarantula! Pet Barn Exotics will also share some “surprise guests” with us. Registration begins 6/25. Ages 5 & up.
Johnson Marionettes - Thursday, July 10, 7-7:45pm (Room A/B) - Join us as Applesauce presents the folktale, Wonder Mountain. Free ticket required for entrance.* All ages welcome.
Ladybug Tea - Wednesday, July 16, 11-Noon (Room A/B) - Join us for a lovely ladybug tea party. Buggy tales, whimsical crafts and activities. Registration begins 7/2. Ages 4-6.
A Sweet Surprise! - Thursday, July 17, 11-Noon (Room A/B) - Get the buzz on honeybees. Make your own beeswax candle. Registration begins 7/3. Ages 7-10.
Paws for Reading - Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, July 21-23, 1:30-2:30pm (Room A/B) - Read with Ellebe; a certified therapy dog. Registration begins7/8 & 7/9. All ages welcome.
BUG ART! - Tuesday, July 22, 10:30-Noon (Room A/B) - Get busy with some buggy crafts: bug-origami, bug rocks, bug bookmarks, bug pets, bug mobiles. Registration begins 7/8. Ages 8-12.
“Class Act” Book Club - Thursday, July 24, 5:30-8pm (Room A/B) - Explore acting, stage direction, costume or set design, puppetry and sound effects. Create a fun visual story with help from The Livingston Players. Pizza, included. Registration begins 7/10. Ages 9-12.
Picnic Pals - Monday, July 28, 11:30am - Bring your lunch and blanket and join us in the Children’s Garden for stories and a nature craft. All ages welcome. Program cancelled for inclement weather.
Animal Magic - Tuesday, July 29, 10:30 and 1pm (Room A/B) - Live, rare and incredible invertebrates! Free ticket required for entrance.* Ages 5 & up.
Reading is Magical with Magician Bill Martin - Thursday, Aug 7, 11am (Room A/B) - Prepare to be baffled and amazed. A show not to be missed! Free ticket required for entrance.* All ages welcome.
