Fee Free tax preparation assistance is available for households earning less than $69,000 a year.
Accounting Aid Society’s team of tax professionals and volunteers is dedicated to giving southeast Michigan households the confidence of an accurately prepared tax return, and the peace of mind that comes with having a team by your side for year-round support.
Tax prep assistance is available at the Brighton District Library the following dates:
Mondays, February 2 through April 13 from 12pm to 6:30pm (no availability February 16 or March 16).

AARP
We will update the AARP tax assistance information as it becomes available.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides free tax preparation for individuals regardless of age or income. Some sites can provide service in one or two visits, or you may not need to visit a site at all, with all interactions taking place online. You do not need to be a member of AARP to qualify.
AARP will be hosting tax prep assistance at the following sites:
NorthRidge Church
- Dates:Tuesdays, February 3 through April 14
Times: 9am to 2pm.
Appointments are required and can be made by calling 248-847-0185.
Hartland Senior Center
- Dates: Fridays, February 6 through April 10
Times: 8:45am to 3:30pm.
Appointments are required by calling the Senior Center at 810-626-3125.
Hamburg Township Library
- Dates: Fridays, February 6 through April 10
Times: 10am to 3:30pm.
Appointments are required and can be made by calling 810-231-1771.
