Hand-drawn library archetype, Emma. Tween girl standing and holding controls for a small robot

Emma

Emma is a tech-forward tween who attends many library programs, her favorite being those focused on STEAM. Additionally, through Emma’s participation in programs, her creativity and desire to learn have expanded. Emma is excited for the Library’s new makerspace to open so she can visit with her friends. Beyond the realm of programs and technologies, the Library provides Emma with something equally invaluable-a sense of belonging. Here, she has found kindred spirits in fellow neurodivergent tweens with whom she shares ideas, collaborates on projects, and has forged lasting friendships.
