This memorial brick path is an addition to the Millie's Garden, located behind the library. Please count spaces, numbers, letters, and other characters. Minimum donation is $50 per brick. Print our application and mail or bring it in. Please contact Diana Dart at(810) 229-6571, ext. 211 for further information.
Library Enhancement Fund
The Library Enhancement Fund was established by the Board of Trustees for contributions to special art and cultural projects and purchases. Private donations designated for this purpose are used to sponsor programs, exhibits, speakers and acquisitions of permanent public art for the library. Please contact Diana Dart at(810) 229-6571, ext. 211 for further information.
The Brighton District Library Endowment Fund
You can enjoy being a philanthropist during your lifetime by making gifts of cash, appreciated stock or real estate and receive a significant tax deduction. Because the Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity all gifts enjoy special tax benefits. You can create a charitable legacy and reduce your estate taxes by making a provision for the Brighton District Library Fund in your will or estate plan. It's also possible to name the Brighton District Library Fund as the beneficiary of a corporate gift, life insurance policy or qualified retirement plan. You may designate the Brighton District Library Fund of the Community Foundation for Livingston County to receive the assets of an existing private foundation or trust. If you wish to contribute to the Endowment Fund, checks must be made payable to the "Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan" and arrive at the library no later than December 26 of each calendar year.
Please contact Nancy B. Johnson at (810) 229-6571, extension 203 or e-mail at nbjohnson@brightonlibrary.info further information.
The Community Share Fund from VG's

The Community Share Fund is a simple way for the library to earn a 1% cash rebate on every purchase you make from VG's (excludes sales tax, tobacco, and alcohol products.)
Simply save your VG's cash receipts. When you come to the library, deposit your reciepts in the collection jars, and VG's will pay 1% of your total grocery purchases. There's no limit to what you can earn!

Donating Materials
The Library accepts donations of books and other media (such as DVDs and audio books) whenever the Library is open.
The Friends of the Brighton District Library, who run the continuous book sale in the building as well as two large book sales each year, request that materials be clean, in good condition, and appropriate for sale. They generally do not accept textbooks, encyclopedia sets or other harder to sell items.
If you have a large donation, we suggest that you call ahead, as intake and storage space is limited at the Library. Call 810-229-6571 and select the Circulation desk or the Operator option.
Be sure to ask the Library staff assisting you for a receipt for your donation. While staff cannot provide a dollar value for you, the receipt is your record of your donation to a public institution. It helps to have a count (eg., 6 hardbacks, 20 pbs, 3 DVDs and one Leap Pad player) as part of your receipt.
