1000 Books Before Kindergarten

What is 1000 Books Before Kindergarten?
- It’s simple. We want you to read to and with your child. The goal is to have read — you guessed it — 1000 books by the time your child starts kindergarten. If you read just one book a day for three years you’ll have gone above and beyond this goal! It’s never too late to foster your child’s love of reading.
How to Participate:
- Read with your child.
- Keep track of all the books you’ve read with your child. Here at the Brighton District Library both an online tracking system (Beanstack) and reading log sheets are available. Feel free to use whichever is most convenient for you!
- Record ANY book that is read to your child.
- And yes, you can repeat books!
