Books from other libraries can be placed on hold and sent to the Brighton District Library. If items are not checked out or have a hold list, they take roughly 3-4 days to arrive.
College Resources

Learning Express Library is a online database that you can access for free from the library. The College Prep center of the database includes SAT & ACT Practice Tests, College Admissions Essay Help, and more.
Modernstates.org– Modern States Education Alliance and the College Board have partnered with the state to offer Michigan residents free online courses to prepare for any of College Board’s College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests – giving Michiganders a chance to earn college credits at Michigan universities and community colleges without taking or paying for coursework.
Lake Trust New Beginnings Scholarship:
Michigan residents who wish to pursue skilled trade technical education programs or realize their dream of being an entrepreneur who makes a community impact. Prospective students may submit applications on the Foundation’s website at https://www.laketrust.org/Foundation/Scholarships for either one of four New Beginnings Scholarships worth up to $2,500 or one of five full-tuition Community Impact Scholarships.

FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aide) is where you’ll be applying for Student Loans and Grants. The Michigan Deadline is generally March 1st prior to when you plan on attending college. Click here to find out more or start your application.

The Common App
Instead of a student needing to complete a separate college application for each of their fifteen institutions, The common App allows students to complete one application that will be sent to multiple participating schools. Click here to see which Michigan Colleges are part of the Common App.

Niche.com– One of Niche’s most characteristic features is that it allows students to rate schools on different aspects and provide individual reviews.
Cappex- Cappex is great at displaying beefy college statistics in a way that is easy to read.
