Staff- A staff of seven
adult Reference Librarians are available to assist patrons during
library hours. Patrons may ask a reference question in person at
the library, call on the telephone (810-229-6571, extension 227),
send a fax (810-229-8924) or use Ask-a-Librarian!
Reference
Collection- The
library's reference collection includes standard tools such as encyclopedias,
manuals and handbooks, almanacs and directories. A variety of specialized
reference books such as the Encyclopedia of Islamic Religion
or Grove's Dictionary of Music provide in-depth research
tools for patrons. The reference collection also include online
databases and CD-Roms.

Reference Collections
- Business Center-
with a variety of reference books on company, stock, product and
marketing information. The library subscribes to over 100 periodicals
and there are full text magazine indexes available as well.
- Careers - materials
on careers, education, resumes, etc.--everything needed for people
looking for work or, looking to change jobs. Additional help is
also available through the Internet for Michigan Jobs by visiting
Michigan Works. {Career Collection
materials are specially designated in the online catalog as [CAREER]
and all are located in the non-fiction stacks along the south
wall near the windows.}

of information about local
history and genealogy
resources.

Connection-
The Brighton Library has 27
public workstations with Internet access.
The computers in the Children's Room and Young Adult area have filtering
