The Marriage Notice Index 1843—1858 is a list of marriage notices originally published in the Livingston Courier and the Livingston Republican newspapers between 1843 and 1858.  This index was made from information published in the Detroit Society for Genealogical Research Magazine (Volume 52:3; Spring, 1989; pp. 109-110, 139).   The magazine did not reproduce the actual marriage notices but printed abstracts of the marriage notices as compiled by the late Marguerite N. Lambert of Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Brighton District Library is grateful to the Detroit Society for Genealogical Research for granting permission for this information to be made available via this index.

Brighton District Library does not own either print or microfilm of the original papers from which these abstracts were made but is providing this index as a service to researchers.
