• Any Day in History - by Scope Sys, has famous (and less famous) births, deaths, POW-MIAs born on certain day, events, holidays and religious observances.
• dMarie Time Capsule - Has headlines, prices for items, Academy Award winners, top songs, books, TV programs, and toys. Very useful.
• Searchable Dates Archive - by the Daily Globe, has events, holidays and celebrity birthdays.
• This Day in History - from the History Channel
• This Day in History - from the Information Please Almanac
• Those Were the Days - Can search by month and day, lists historical events, celebrity birthdays and top songs for some years. Click on "Archive."
• Twentieth Century Year-by-Year - Information divided by decades and years, also gives the high points in the century

Anatomy Sites (12/01)

• Animal Anatomy Sites for Pet Owners - has systems for cats and dogs
• Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body Online - through Bartleby.com, has images and text of this classic book.
• Human Anatomy Online - Interactive sites with detailed info on human systems, illustrations, movement animations. Labels for parts of body show up when cursor rolls over that part so this site has limited use if labeled printed images are needed.
• Links to Specific Anatomy Sites - has links to eye, knee, brain anatomy sites, etc
• Neuroscience for kids - has images and lots of ideas for making models of the nervous system..
• Virtual Body - can zoom in on sections to get color, labeled enlargements.

Science Fairs (12/01)
There are a lot of books set aside about doing science projects. Check at the Youth Services desk. The key is start early! Science books are in the 500 call number in both youth services and in the adult section. Books in the adult section have a YA on the edge (this indicates that it is for young adults).
