WHY USE? Consists of several datatbases with many millions of articles from both popular and scholarly publications. Many magazines are indexes from 1980s to current articles. Easy to use, this is a first stop to find articles. DATABASES

WHY USE? SIRS Discover is a wonderful database for young researchers. SIRS is useful for writing reports and researching projects. HOW TO USE? SIRS Cheat Sheet WHY USE? Electric Library Elementary is an for elementary school children and teachers. It is a full-text database with articles from children's magazines, a few adult magazines, reference books, newspapers, pictures, maps, and news transcripts. It is easy to use and and search. WHY USE? Useful for finding information on companies and individuals in the US. Can find company address, phone number, number of employees, credit-ratings, and subsidiary/parent companies. Also contains individual consumer information: name, address, phone number, household income, value of house. WHY USE? Great database for finding a poem or biographical information about an author. Is searchable by poem's title, first line, and author. WHY USE? Important resource for researching specific stocks and funds. Updated weekly. Password protected, must ask librarian to log in.
