2008 Summer Reading for Adults
Tues., June 10 –Thurs., Aug. 7
Three ways to participate in Adult Summer Reading event drawings:
1) Read books or listen to audiobooks. Fiction or non-fiction. Any book with 100+ pages will do… Fill out a form listing the book's title and what you thought about it.
Bookmarks with suggested Michigan-themed book titles are available at the Brighton District Library Information Desk beginning May 19.
2) Sign up for an email-delivered readers advisory service—NextReads®.
Each sign-up gets entered in that week's drawing.
3) Attend any adult services program in Room A/B; fill out an entry form onsite.
Summer Reading winning entries are selected on Thursdays beginning June 19.
Weekly prizes include a $10 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble.

In celebration of National Poetry Month, local resident Chris Rhein read from her new book Wild Flight and discussed her experience with the art of poetry.

Evelyn Gallegos of Brighton MI delivers a two-session talk on travel. In her January 28th "Travel Tales and Pictures" program, China and Mongolia were the focus, and on April 28th, Botswana.
