Library cards
Brighton District Library is a member
of The Library Network. You may use your card at most of the 85
member libraries
Who is eligible for a library card:
- Persons who live in the district served by the
Brighton District Library
- Persons who work in the district served by the
Library
- Person who live in another library service area
that participates in reciprocal borrowing
To apply for a library card
- Apply in person at the circulation desk
- Present official identification (driver's license,
tax receipt, etc.)
- Juveniles under 16 years old must be accompanied
by a parent or guardian who has proper identification
- Replacement fee for a lost card is $1.00

Late Fees:
- 10 cents per day for all adult materials.
- 5 cents per day for all children's materials. Children's media kits and new materials have 10 cents per day fines.
There are no fines charged for holidays.
Renewals:
All Brighton District Library items may be renewed a maximum
of two times. Telephone renewal is available during the Library's
hours of operation. Renewals may also be made from the Online
Library Catalog by accessing your account. No renewals are allowed
on items that are on reserve for
